  1. Tosh…I really admire your perseverance. I jumped ahead and have made hard copies of some of the docs you had listed.

    Best,

  2. Yes, I want to continue to be a member of NIP. I would enter a Captcha code except I wasn’t given one. But I am not a robot.

Thanks for all your hard work, Tosh. I’m sorry to be so slow about this. You deserve better responses for all your hard work.

  3. Thank you for including me even though I haven’t been able to attend the meetings for a while. I’ve got a few too many balls I’m trying to juggle but look forward to returning to the NIP group once things settle down. 😃

  4. I’ve completed the first proof-read draft of my first novel in the comedic fiction genre. While I have received critique from some paid beta readers, a member of a novelist Facebook group has strongly recommended that I reach out to a local author’s critique group for help and guidance in completing the re-writing process to ensure I self-publish a quality final product of which I am proud.

  5. Hiya – I attended the 1/26 session as a guest and really enjoyed it. I’d like to join NIP because I started writing a novel, and I could really use deadlines and feedback as incentives to keep going. My experience is limited to writing a couple screenplays and shooting an indie feature that I co-wrote. Thanks!

  6. I am 56 years old avid rpg gamer and sci-fiction fan. I am as of yet unpublished. My writing has been generally well revived but I’m bad at finishing things, which I am trying to change.
I’m currently working on a sci-fi/fantasy novel and would like a critique group to get and share feedback with.

    • Thanks for your interest in NIP–Austin, Raymond. I’ll be sending you an email this weekend, and We look forward to meeting you. Best, Tosh McIntosh, Moderator.

  7. 34 year old registered dental hygienist, mommy to a cutesy 8 month old, and aspiring author! I’ve been in and out of writing for the past ten years. I have two things I’m working on and I’m kind of just stuck. I’d love to hear people’s feedback to rework some of my writing.

  8. My name is Dinu and I work for a nonprofit, but hoping to become a published writer soon. I’m working on my first novel and would love to connect with fellow writers to exchange feedback. Looking forward to connecting!

  9. Hi my name is Rebecca and I’m an Austin native.

I wrote an novel(historical fiction) and had it reviewed by an editor I hired. I’m working on the re-writes currently for Book 1. Once B1 is complete, I’ll work on re-writes for Book 2 (80% complete). The editor is no longer available for various reasons. The idea for the novel originally came from a scene I wrote for a screenplay writing class, which I took a couple of years ago. I have several other short stories in draft form along with a second novel (the first I wrote, also unpublished) that need to be revised. Both novels and the short stories will be transitioned into screenplays.

    • Thanks for your interest in NIP–Austin, Rebecca. We look forward to meeting you (virtually) at our next Zoom meeting, and hope you can join us. Please be on the lookout for the invitation, E-submission we are critiquing, and the meeting handout. And don’e hesitate to contact me with any questions.

  11. I’m a writer and musician here in Austin. I’m currently 65K words into my first novel. I write songs and short stories in between

  12. Hello,

I am a freelance writer who does quite a bit of ghostwriting. My work has been published in BirdWatching Magazine, Best Poets of 2019, Upon Arrival, and several other publications. I am currently working on revising a romance novel and would greatly appreciate feedback on it. I was thrilled when I came across this wonderful writing group!

    • Thanks for your interest in NIP-Austin, Hilah. We’d love to have you join us, but we don’t critique short fiction.

  13. I would like to get my writing polished and into a state of being ready to be published. I self published a novella before years ago, but since removed it from amazon since I think I can do a better job of getting my ideas into a book. I am now writing a script, but will begin brainstorming for a new novel. I would love to sit in to one of your meetings!

    • We appreciate your interest in NIP–Austin, Relvin. I will be sending you an invitation for our meeting tomorrow and hope to see you there.

I have been working on a novel for the last decade and find it difficult to consistently keep up progress on it. I feel like a writing group would help me stay focused. I’m also excited to read others work and get critiques on my own.

    • Thanks for your interest in NIP-Austin, Nathan. I will be sending you a Zoom Invitation and meeting handout for September 27, 2020. We look forward to meeting you.
